Emily and her family traveled down to Tampa to attend the 2011 Central Florida Hunter Jumper Association awards banquet. Emily and her beloved My Blue Heaven were crowned Year-End Champions for the Children's Hunter Pony Division. We were all so blessed to be a part of Blue's life and we miss him everyday. The Lo Vece family will add a perpetual trophy to the annual CFHJA awards in memory of this amazing pony and friend. Emily also earned the Equitation 11 & Under Reserve Champion award for a second time.

Congratulations to Lianne on the purchase of her new pony Goldmark! This gorgeous German Warmblood pony is a top of the line medium who moves beautifully and loves to jump. Lianne and "Dover" are an amazing team and we look forward to many fun and exciting times from this dynamic duo!

Boo! We had so much fun at our Halloween Party it was scary!!! Check out the pictures of the Costume Parade. Great job Elle, Emily, Emily, Lauren, Lianne, Madison and Sunny. You and your pony partners looked fabulous. The parade was followed by really great food and a fabulous campfire. The awesome evening was capped off with a terrifying (ok maybe not terrifying, lol) tractor ride trough the haunted hayfield. There were plenty of scares and tons of laughter. Next year's Halloween Haunting is sure to be even more spooky. Thanks to all the ghouls who helped make the evening super fun!!

October 16, 2011Cav-i Farm hosted the Yound Horse Warmblood show and Wimborne young stock were stars! Our mare Gingerbred was approved into the main stud book with North American Studbook. Hansel was 4th in the Yearling In-Hand class and QUALIFIED for the Finals in Palm Beach. Pio Padre won a Second Place Premium ribbon. Conversa our 3 year old was 3rd in the Jump Chute and she also QUALIFIED for Finals. What a great day for Wimborne! The American Warmblood Society Finals will take place in Palm Beach this December. Summer 2011With record breaking heat everyone at Wimborne has been doing their best to beat the heat! In June Allyson, Emily, Grace B., Tori and Tyler stayed cool to bring home great ribbons at the Marion Saddle Club show. Grace grabbed Reserve Champ honors in the Short Stirrup division, Tori was Champion in the X-Rails and Emily captured the top spot in the 12&Under Equitation Division. Of course all the ponies were amazing too! Wimborne hosted two camps this summer. First was the younger kid camp where Olivia, Grace C., Madison, Grace B and Elle all had an amazing week of pony fun. Scavenger hunts, tacking contests, grooming lessons and of course lots of riding made for a full week of fun. The "big kid camp" followed with Allyson, Amber, Brooke, Emily, and Grace B. riding two sets a day, learning all about the jumper division, designing their own courses and doing lots of swimming to keep cool. At the end of July, Allyson and Grace B. travelled down to Venice, rode into the late, late, afternoon and pouring rain to earn amazing ribbons in their divisions. Allyson and Sportspage were Children's Large Pony Reserve Champions. Grace and Fiona grabbed two 2nd's and two 5th's out of 12 in the Short Stirrup Hunters. Way to go girls!

Well, it was HOT, but everyone did a great job at RMI Mid-Florida III. Sunny joined us for her first show with new pony Sportspage. They were amazing and earned Short Stirrup Hunter Reserve Champion honors. Madison had a fabulous weekend showing Colonel's Theophanies again. They took home the Champion Tri-Colors for X-Rails both Saturday and Sunday. Emily was very fast in the Jumper division with Doc and earned 4th place out of 8 on Saturday competing with lots of experienced folks. Emily and My Blue Heaven also earned Reserve Champions in the Children's Large Pony Hunters.

Everyone had a fabulous weekend at RMI Spring II. Congratulations to Ada for winning the M&S Pony Medal with Fiona! Way to go Madison and Colonel's Theophanies who competed for the first time together in Cross-Rails on the "A" circuit. They won the hack, placed 2nd in both O/F and were Reserve Champions! Emily had a great weekend too. She showed My Blue Heaven to the Children's Hunter Pony Large Championship. Emily also showed Medoc de Livre in the Jumper division for the first time. They placed first in their .80 meter class both days and earned show Champions.

Marion Saddle Club was so much fun! Great job by all our riders. Ada brought Munchkin to his first MSC show and did a great job in the pony model. Tyler and Dover received ribbons in all their classes including a 1st Place in Cross-Rails Hunter O/F. Tori and Fiona were terrific in their first show together, 1st, 4th, 6th XR O/F and 3rd, 3rd, 4th on the flat. Grace and Fiona had an amazing show earning Champion in both the SS Hunter and SS Eq divisions. Emily and Doc were Champions in the 12&Under Equitation and won the MSC Pony Medal. Madison and Beau were so beautiful in their first show. They earned 3rd and 6th in the Cross-Rails O/F. Grace C. had a great "first ever" show! She and Smidgen won ribbons in all their classes. Lindsey also rode Smidgen in his first MSC and earned great ribbons too.

We would like to welcome Emily's new large pony Medoc de Livre to the Wimborne family. "Doc" is an 11 year old Selle Francais with a very cuddly personality. Emily hopes to head to the jumper ring with Doc in the very near future. Bonne Chance Emily and Doc!

Olivia Dodd and Emily Lo Vece traveled to Sewanne, TN to represent the Wimborne IEA Team in their individual events at Zone 4 Finals. The drive was long, but The University of the South is a very beautiful place for a horse show. Emily competed with the other top 11 riders from our zone in the Futures Intermediate Over Fences 2' division. Olivia rode in the HS Varsity Intermediate Flat Final also with the top zone riders. What an achievement for these riders to make it to Zone Finals!

HITS Recap: What an exciting circuit for Wimborne! Paul and Brownie did a wonderful job in the Adult Jumpers claiming great ribbons. Olivia also had an amazing circuit in the Jumper Division. She and Forte won the Low Adult Jumper Classic not once, but TWICE! Way to go Olivia!! Emily had a terrific circuit showing her large pony My Blue Heaven. They showed in the Children's Hunter Pony 11&Under and the 11&Under Equitation divisions and were champion several weekends. Overall they were able to claim the Grand Circuit Champion in both divisions. Congratulations Em and Blue! Ada also had a lot of fun with her new medium pony. She and Casper competed in the Children's Hunter Pony division and brought home very nice ribbons after being partnered for just a short period. Casper also showed in the Medium Green Pony division where he earned lots of blue ribbons over fences! Great job Wimborne Team!!!

Brooke is now the proud owner of a beautiful new horse, Monty! Monty is a 5 year old Thoroughbred Cross who is sweet, lovable and totally talented. Congratulations to Brooke and her family on their newest addition!!

Wimborne's IEA Team traveled to Plantation, Florida for the Region 5 Finals. In our first year of participation, Wimborne had both the High School and Middle School qualify at the team level. Also 4 riders qualified as individuals. Abbey Slaven (HS Varsity Open Flat & O/F), Olivia Dodd (HS Varsity Inter. Flat & O/F), Katelyn Ludington (Varisity Inter. Flat), Emily Lo Vece (MS Inter. Flat & O/F). Despite a lot of wind, the show was really fun and all the Wimborne riders were amazing! Congratulations to Abbey, Olivia and Emily who each qualified for Zone Finals!

The Wimborne IEA Team headed down to the Sumpter Equestrian Center for the final regular competition of the season. Everyone rode extremely well and handled the rainy weather great! Pam coached Emily and her large pony My Blue Heaven to great results both weekend of Pre-HITS. Em and Blue placed 1st in the $500 M&S Child/Adult Hunter Classic the first weekend and 2nd in the same class the second weekend. Great job everyone!

The Wimborne Equestrian IEA Team hit the road to Barrington Hill Farm for their second team competition. The weather was terrific and the team was amazing! This was a two show weekend, with a complete show both Saturday and Sunday. Each member competes in one over fences and one flat class within a division that matches their ability. As the pictures show, there were plenty of top ribbons across all the divisions. The High School Team was Show Champion BOTH days and is now qualified for the team competition at Regionals in March. The Middle School Team, with just two riders, was Show Champions for the Sunday show! Olivia Dodd, riding in the Varsity Intermediate division, has now qualified for IEA Regionals as an individual for both her O/F and Flat classes. Abbey Slaven, our Varsity Open rider, has qualified for Regionals in her O/F class. Great job to everyone on the Team!!!!
